Accreditation

Program Overview

The joint providership of Medical Education Resources and Focus Medical Communications will provide an educational update on the latest clinical data and advances in rheumatology and medical technology to improve patient care and outcomes.


Target Audience 

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of physicians, fellows, nurse practitioners (NPs), and physician assistants/associates (PAs) involved in the care of patients with rheumatic diseases.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Apply early diagnostic methods in various rheumatologic conditions.

  • Design personalized treatment plans for patients with rheumatic disease using the most up-to-date literature and therapies.

  • Analyze current and future roles of artificial intelligence and machine learning in rheumatology.

  • Develop strategies to optimally incorporate advanced practice providers into rheumatology practice.

  • Employ strategies for integrating technology into rheumatology care.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in leveraging telemedicine to provide rheumatology care.

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Medical Education Resources (MER) and Focus Medical Communications. MER is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

 

Physician Credit

Medical Education Resources designates this live for a maximum of 6.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Physician Associate Credit

Medical Education Resources has been authorized by the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) to award AAPA Category 1 CME credit for activities planned in accordance with AAPA CME Criteria. This activity is designated for 6.75 AAPA Category 1 CME credits. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation

 

Nurse Credit

Medical Education Resources designates this live for a maximum of 6.75 ANCC nursing contact hours. Nurses will be awarded contact hours upon successful completion of the activity. This activity is designated for 1.0 ANCC pharmacotherapeutic contact hour.
